“Exandas” is a Greek, internationally acclaimed, sociopolitical documentary series filmed around the world. The philosophy behind its creation in 2000 by Yorgos Avgeropoulos was to bring the Greek as well as the international audience closer to the unknown, tough and dangerous everyday life of millions of people living in this planet and present stories which concern all the thoughtful and active citizens of a modern “globalized” world.
Several documentaries of this series were broadcasted by dozens of international networks and received multiple distinctions from film festivals around the world. In Greece, the documentary series “Exandas” was being broadcasted until 2003 by the private TV station ALPHA TV and then by the Greek public broadcaster ERT for 10 consecutive years, up until its violent closure by Samaras government in June 2013.
