
The awarded - winning documentary "Life for Sale" by Yorgos Avgeropoulos will be screened in the first edition of International Ecology Festival which takes place in Oradea city of Romania, from October 27th to 30th.
The aim of the festival is to make clear that nature and its protection is not something distant and vague. On the contrary by taking care of our natural surroundings, we can ameliorate our own life. The documentary "Life for Sale" is participating in the Competition section of the festival and the audience is able to watch it on Thursday 27th of October at 16:00 at Cinema Libertatea.
The documentary «Life For Sale», investigates the biggest water market in the world, set up in Chile. Where the country’s water resources do not belong to the state but to private individuals and a company can own an entire river in its possession. Having already won 5 international awards, the documentary by Yorgos Avgeropoulos shows the dramatic effects of a policy that turns a basic source of life to a source of profit and a public good into a product of speculation.
